1999
Pinot Gris Monterey County
Production: 1000 cases
Alcohol: 13.9%
Nose: Clean stone fruit and ripe nectarines, honeysuckle
and lavender.
Palate: Intense fruit with clean and crisp acid on the
entry. Balanced with round ripe fruit flavors of nectarines,
grapefruit and Meyer lemon with a medium to long finish.
The vineyard source in Monterey County provides an ideal
climate for this varietal. Cool mornings and evenings
allow for a long growing season during which full maturation
of the fruit is possible while maintaining the delicate
balance of fruit and floral nuances.
Made in a traditional Alsatian style. Slow and cool fermentation,
aged approximately 6 months in stainless steel tanks.
