1998 Pinot Noir Pisoni Vineyards

Production: 125 cases
Alcohol: 14.5%

Nose: Ripe black and red cherry, light cedar, subtle dried mushroom and rose petal.

Palate: Black cherry and plum, light licorice and dark broody fruits and medium tannins on the entry. Dry and dusty, with well-balanced fruit and tannins on the mid-palate. Medium finish with delicate rose petal qualities. Packed with fruit and hints of coffee. This vineyard-designated wine is produced in limited amounts due to the scarcity of the fruit from the Pisoni Vineyard in Monterey County. The Pisoni Vineyard and the adjacent Gary's Vineyard have gained acclaim for producing high-quality, distinctive fruit from the French-clone vines. The typically long and cool growing seasons at these vineyards are an ideal environment for pinot noir to produce its exacting fruit.

Aged in French oak barrels for 12 months.
